Dear Montenegrin citizens,

Wherever you are, in your homeland or scattered across the whole wide world,

We have behind us a year of difficult living, but the sense of survival should not bring us down. We can do more and better, to create a more prosperous and wealthier life for our children, for Montenegro. We have before us the year of NATO challenges 2015.   

But let us recall that there has been 70 years since the World War II, and more importantly only 20 years since we had beaten the Balkan fascism. Peace is the foundation of every development, peace is the foundation of sustainable development. Development which will bring us not only our harmony, our multi-ethnic tradition, development which will also bring us the European respect.

Justice is the fundamental virtue that has kept Montenegro. We do not fight for justice and the rule of law because others ask us to, but because we want to be worthy citizens, proud people, a respectable part of the European Union. 

This year as well we were most celebrated by our artists. Ms Marina Abramović has celebrated the name of Montenegro all over the world. Mr Vojo Stanić kept us warm here in our home and gave us that spirituality. In that spirituality, may you celebrate the holidays, in that spirituality may you grow your family, and from that will come all the good for you and for your children, for Montenegro.
