The interlocutors emphasise good bilateral relations of Montenegro and the Great Britain and United Kingdom, at all levels.

President of the Parliament stresses that Montenegrin Parliament has been working devotedly to building and strengthening its full capacities, especially in the part of the oversight and control. “Good government is possible only with strong Parliament”, Mr Krivokapić says. “British parliamentary tradition is very important for Montenegro as a landmark and criteria for complete oversight and control role over the executive power. In that light we will search manners and models for closer cooperation of the two parliaments through sharing experiences and knowledge with the aim of acquiring new skills for MPs with regard to the rule of law and fight against corruption and similar deviations”, Mr Ranko Krivokapić assesses.

Mr Gaskell assesses that Montenegro’s efforts and progress on its Euro-Atlantic path are visible. He says that Britain has a role of friend and partner to Montenegro on its integration path and that we can count on British capacities in terms of advisory and expert help in the process of strengthening the rule of law which is a basic commitment on the EU and NATO path.
