The interlocutors pointed out intensive relations and cooperation between Montenegro and the OSCE, as well as good bilateral relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia.
President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić pointed out that for Montenegro OSCE was an important international institution with its value goals following our foreign policy strategic priorities, and supporting our fundamental state policies – of a civic, democratic state based on the rule of law and freedom. “OSCE has not only had an important role in the 90s in this region, but even today has the role of supporting our course and strength in fighting for a just society, strong institutions, peace and security enabling full individual freedom”, said President Emeritus of OSCE PA and President of Montenegrin Parliament Mr Ranko Krivokapić. In his conversation with H.E. Mr Ivica Dačić, President Krivokapić estimated that relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia were good and that there was visible mutual will and willingness to promote them. “My first address to the Parliament from the position of the OSCE PA President was the address to the Parliament of Serbia – that was a certain message that we were gathered together around values and goals promoted by the OSCE, as well as the EU”, pointed out Mr Krivokapić.
OSCE Chairperson and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Mr Ivica Dačić, during his first official visit as the OSCE Chairperson, estimated that Montenegro was successfully and actively cooperating with the OSCE, and that this cooperation set an example for everyone in the region. Mr Dačić pointed out the example of Cetinje Parliamentary Forum as the initiative providing an opportunity for leading a good dialogue, resulting in promotion of cooperation of the countries in the region.
