President of the Parliament of Montenegro and President Emeritus of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Mr Ranko Krivokapić and Executive Director of the Onassis Foundation Mr Petros Eftimiu spoke today about the opening of the humanist study programme at the University of Montenegro, which would treat the Hellenic culture.
Mr Krivokapić and Mr Eftimiu stated that it was necessary to enrich educational programmes, by making them more comprehensive and diversified, and in that manner enable youth to upgrade their knowledge by rich philosophy of the other countries, such as Hellenic.
Wishing that the intention of the Executive Director of the Onassis Foundation for founding a study programme, and in cooperation with the University of Montenegro, be concretised soon, President Krivokapić gave his full support to the initiative.
Onassis Foundation was established in December 1975 in accordance with the Aristotle Onassis' last wish to honour the memory of his son Alexander.
Onassis Foundation is very present in the United States of America, Canada, Australia, Asia and other countries, both through study programmes and through other forms of training - exchange programs for students and professors, conferences, organisation of archaeological exhibitions, etc.
