President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić said at the gathering that terrorism had always threatened fundamental values. Mr Krivokapić stressed that terrorism was motivated by money and weapons:
"In the past terrorism had different names, but it always threatened fundamental values. It has become stronger as much as possibilities strengthened not to control through law and justice what can cause all preconditions for terrorism. Its basic idea is money, which is essentially its key motivation as well as weapons”, Mr Krivokapić said.
In addition to Mr Krivokapić, the speakers at the Conference were Minister of Interior Mr Raško Konjević, Minister of Justice Mr Zoran Pažin, Minister of the Interior of Slovenia Ms Vesna Györkös Žnidar, as well as Minister of Home Affairs of Albania Mr Saimir Tahiri.
The organisers of the Conference of Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs are the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro, the Ministry of the Interior of Slovenia, and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), as well as South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).
