President Ranko Krivokapić expressed gratitude for the support that the Republic of Finland was giving to Montenegro on its European path towards integration.

The interlocutors pointed out that Montenegro and Finland had good and friendly relations, with significant room for further improvement.

President Krivokapić informed Ambassador Orpana on the efforts and results that out country was achieving in the field of strengthening the rule of law as well as the integration process towards the European Union. President Ranko Krivokapić pointed out the role of the Parliament, which was influencing and carrying these processes more and more, through strengthening of its constitutional capacities.

The Finnish Ambassador Mr Pekk Orpana said to Mr Krivokapić that Finland was giving full support to our country in its European integration, and that Montenegro was recognised as a country which was particularly mindful of good neighbourly relations and was significantly contributing to peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
