Dear,
Today, when you consecrate the Church of St. Venerable Ivan Crnojevic, which celebrates the founder of the Royal Capital Cetinje and the Monastery of Cetinje - the foundation of the Montenegrin Autocephalous Church – I wish you to create a place where believers could exercise their constitutional and civil right to freedom of religion in the spirit of peace and universal values of faith.
Generations have fought for freedom in Montenegro, a country that guarantees the right to live the freedom of religion to all its citizens. The state should fight for free access to all saint places and religious facilities that had been built by our ancestors who had left them in order for those who needed it to be able to enjoy them without limitations. As always, justice will win, because since establishing of the Montenegrin state, the church has been its inseparable part and belonged to its citizens. The state property is the property of all its citizens – regardless of their name and the way of being baptised.
On behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and on my own behalf, I wish you to live in the new home and spread universal human virtues.
Ranko Krivokapić
