President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić today received for a farewell visit Mr Niyazi Tanili, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Montenegro.

Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Montenegro Mr Niyazi Tanili voiced gratitude to President Krivokapić over the previous cooperation, and expressed satisfaction in relation to the good relations of Montenegro and Turkey. Mr Krivokapić and Mr Tanilir deemed the cooperation of the two countries in numerous fields as commendable, and expressed hope that the cooperation would be improved and deepened.

The interlocutors assessed that Montenegro’s membership to the NATO was extremely important for the stability of the Western Balkans, but also for the stability of the whole region, particularly since that membership would complete the NATO line in the Mediterranean.  They concluded that Montenegro has been achieving substantial results on its reform path, and that those activities should be intensified awaiting the NATO Ministerial Meeting in December.

The message was sent at the meeting that Montenegro may count in the future also on friendly and partnering support of Turkey in integration processes.
