“Esteemed citizens of Plav,

Your town is abundant in natural resources and beauty, which, with certainty, could provide its citizens with a better standard of living and of a much higher quality. Plav deserves, and the state is obliged to help with that, to be on the tourist map where it used to be. Development investments and valorisation of resources, in a sustainable manner to keep them for generations to come, must be a priority goal of both local and state authorities.

With economic management of our resources, and Plav is especially rich with its “sea of the North” and ecological environment, we will create conditions for a better life and provide prospect to the youth - and that is the only response to the challenge of emigration from the north.

You are known as hard-working and persevering people, and local and state policy must enable you to live decently from your work and to have, especially the youth, the opportunity to get a job which would create new value.

On behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and on my own behalf, I wish you a happy 31 July - the Municipality Day of Plav.
