President Krivokapić receives Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Kuwait

It was estimated that Montenegro and Kuwait had good bilateral relations

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić today received Mr Faisal Fahad Al Shay, Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Kuwait.

During the meeting, it was estimated that Montenegro and Kuwait had good bilateral relations, as well as that there was great room for improvement of cooperation, especially in the segment of economy.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić pointed out that the visit of parliamentarians of the Assembly of Kuwait represented a further step forward in intensifying relations between the parliaments of the two countries. It was estimated that the National Assembly of Kuwait was a particularly good example among the Gulf countries as a very strong parliament which efficiently implemented its competence of control over the executive branch of power.  President Krivokapić said that Montenegro was an open country investment-wise, and that the parliaments were a prerequisite for secure networking and making room for investment projects which were welcome.

Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Kuwait Mr Faisal Fahad Al Shay emphasised as very significant cooperation of the two parliaments and countries, estimating that there was room for investments in areas of tourism and health in Montenegro, in which the State of Kuwait was very interested. On that occasion, Mr Al Shaya extended an invitation to President Krivokapić to visit the official Kuwait.

The meeting was also attended by Mr Yousef Abdulsamad, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Montenegro, as well as members of the National Assembly of Kuwait.
