President of the Parliament receives newly appointed ambassadors of the Netherlands and Japan

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić received H.E. Mr Juichi Takahara - the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan, and H.E. Mr Henk van den Dool - newly appointed Ambassador of the Netherlands to Montenegro.

Ambassador of Japan to Montenegro Mr Juichi Takahara thanked President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić for the reception and expressed pleasure over the relations which Montenegro and Japan had been nourishing.

The interlocutors estimated that the two countries should continue building good relations, as well as that Japan supported Montenegro and its path towards progress. The Ambassador noted that Montenegro had Japan’s full support and that the foundation for developing bilateral relations was cooperation which followed in the field of economy, culture, education, and health. 

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić pointed out that he was open for intensification of relations, which would lead to achieving a stronger dialogue of the two countries.           

During the meeting between Mr Krivokapić and Mr Dool, they noted constructive cooperation of the two countries aspiring to intensively deepen the relations in order to achieve a common diplomatic and political success in the future, as well as that the only path that Montenegro should take was the path of honouring the rule of law. It was concluded in the meeting that the next step for achieving this would be precisely the holding of the upcoming fair elections.

President Ranko Krivokapić said that the Montenegrin Parliament was open and ready for intensifying the parliamentary dialogue which would lead to stronger cooperation of the two countries.
