President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić welcomed Ms Angelina Eichhorst, Director for Western Europe, Western Balkans and Turkey at the European External Action Service. This is the first official visit of Ms Angelina Eichhorst to Montenegro. She expressed gratitude for the reception and extended commendations, referring to parliamentary dialogue in the Parliament of Montenegro, for achievements in the domain of democracy.

The interlocutors assessed that political stability was the bedrock for democratic Montenegro relying on the rule of law. Creating political stability is one of the basic steps which will enhance the European integration of Montenegro.

The interlocutors discussed various topics, including, among other things, the current political situation, which was assessed as a test situation, the results of which would show how much Montenegro had progressed and matured in political domain of democracy.

Ms Angelina Eichhorst extended commendations to the President of the Parliament of Montenegro for his achievements and said that each step made in the integration process was a step forward for a better position and standard of Montenegro.

President Ranko Krivokapić pointed out openness of the Parliament of Montenegro for future cooperation and intensifying of dialogue with a view to a more dynamic progress of Montenegro on its European path.
