President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić welcomed Mr Miro Kovač, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia. Mr Miro Kovač thanked him for the reception and voiced his pleasure over the strengthening of friendly relations between Montenegro and Croatia.
The interlocutors assessed that the continuously good relations needed to proceed namely by strengthening cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, economy, and education.
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Mr Miro Kovač pointed out the support of the Republic of Croatia to Montenegro on its European and Euro-Atlantic path. He also pointed out the significance of Montenegro’s joining NATO with a view to further stabilisation and lasting peace in the region.
At the meeting they also discussed systems of strengthening cooperation in education by introducing more favourable conditions for Montenegrin students in Croatia, but they also discussed tourist offers that would place quality content in the tourism market offered by natural potentials of Montenegro and Croatia.
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Mr Miro Kovač expressed gratitude over efforts of President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić personally, both for his anti-war activism and his contribution to affirmation and improvement of the position of the Croatian minority, which further influenced strengthening of good neighbourly relations between Montenegro and Croatia.
