After President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Mr Thorbjørn Jagland, the attendees of the Conference will be addressed by Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro Mr Mitja Drobnič.

The Conference, organised by the Parliament of Montenegro in cooperation with the Council of Europe, is dedicated to the role of the public broadcasters, commercial media, and investigative journalism in providing conditions for protection and promotion of the freedom of expression and public debate, but also accountability of the media, pursuant to their strength and influence in society. 
In addition to directors of public broadcasters, prominent journalists, representatives of the civil sector from Montenegro and the region, as well as experts and representatives of international organisations, President of the Venice Commission Mr Gianni Buquicchio will also participate in the Conference.
Prior to beginning of the Conference, a bilateral meeting was planned between President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Mr Thorbjørn Jagland.
