President Krivokapić stressed that their national roots should not be political but cultural. - First, you need knowledge and then courage to implement lessons learnt, Mr Krivokapić said to the students, adding that he hoped that they would remain devoted to the public interest.
Answering to a student’s question “in which manner Montenegro should motivate young people to stay in the country”, President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić said that outflow of young people was bad for any country, and that the state should provide better future to inspire the young people to stay to live there.
- A task of political elite is to provide good living and work conditions for young talented people in their own state, Mr Krivokapić said, emphasising that decision on staying in one own’s country is not made only by material achievements but by emotions also - and life is an emotion, he concluded.
Participants of MIMUN conference who visited the Parliament of Montenegro today learnt about history, responsibilities and functioning of Montenegrin Parliament.
Student Association for International Cooperation (SAMS) is a student organisation founded at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Montenegro, aimed at promotion of cooperation among students from Montenegro and students from abroad. The aim of MIMUN is to improve students’ knowledge on international institutions, primarily United Nations, and to contribute to creating better cooperation among universities as well.
This kind of simulation - MIMUN (Montenegro International Model United Nations) is being held for the fourth time in Montenegro, gathering around 50 participants/students, including almost half from abroad.
Today’s visit is a part of the project Open Parliament of the Parliament of Montenegro.
