President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić received and welcomed attendees of the prestigious leadership development program of the German Marshall Fund. He informed the attendees about the current political developments with an emphasis on undertaken decisions and steps which have led to the current social and political state in the country.

During the reception, the discussed strategic European and Euro-Atlantic goals, noting that postulates of the rule of law must be respected in order to meet each of them. The President stressed that the rule of law was a foundation for democratic and stable Montenegro.

The interlocutors concluded the Parliament of Montenegro had influenced positively on democratic order by its previous work, particularly when it comes to transparency in work and inclusion of the civil society, which has been recorded in the official documents of the European Union and civil society organisations.
