President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić voiced pleasure over the meeting and stressed that Montenegro’s progress on the Euro-Atlantic path was of great importance for the overall progress of Montenegro, primarily in the field of the rule of law.
Mr Alexander Vershbow, NATO Deputy Secretary General, welcomed parliamentary dialogue that resulted in signing the agreement between the government and opposition, as a precondition for holding fair and free elections.
During the meeting, they shared opinions on the current political situations, with accent on the need for implementing fair and free forthcoming parliamentary elections.
President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić emphasised that institutional structure had been established in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration, adding that the legislative framework representing a foundation for the period to come was provided, where there must be a devotion to full implementation of tasks and obligations arising from the accession process to NATO.
In the context of talks on the opportunities in the region, the interlocutors agreed that it was necessary to resolve open issues through the dialogue and in that way preserve stability.
On the margins “2BS Forum” in Budva, President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić spoke with presidents of Croatia and Slovenia Ms Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Mr Borut Pahor.

President of the Parliament meets NATO Deputy Secretary General during 2BS Forum
President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić attended 2BS NATO Forum, during which he met Mr Alexander Vershbow, NATO Deputy Secretary General.
