President Pajović expressed gratitude for the support of the US Embassy to Montenegro, which had been a significant partner in the process of Montenegro’s Euro-Atlantic integration.

President Pajović emphasised the great significance of Montenegro’s as quick as possible NATO accession.

Today’s meeting was also an opportunity for President Pajović and US Ambassador Ms Uyehara to discuss the current political situation in Montenegro.

H.E. US Ambassador to Montenegro Ms Margaret Ann Uyehara has shown interest in effectiveness of work of Montenegrin Parliament.

President Pajović said that in the upcoming period the Parliament of Montenegro would work at an accelerated pace based on the principles of effectiveness and transparency, considering that a large number of laws and other acts was currently in parliamentary procedure.

President Pajović noted that the Government of Electoral Trust had great responsibility in order to achieve, together with the Parliament of Montenegro, a single goal, that being fair and free elections in October.
