It has been confirmed that Montenegro is an anchor of stability in the Balkans and a country nearing its goal, full-fledged membership to the Alliance.
During their meeting with President of the Republic of Slovenia Mr Borut Pahor, Montenegrin delegation expressed gratitude for friendly support of Slovenia, which has been emphasising, at all significant international addresses, the significance of Montenegro’s membership in this moment.
The interlocutors have agreed that NATO is promoting democratic values and encouraging consultation and cooperation in order to build trust and prevent conflicts and disorder. President Pajović emphasised that, with its latest political processes and forming of the Government of Electoral Trust and opening the Government for representatives of the opposition, Montenegro had shown that it could resolve political challenges in a democratic manner within its society, as a responsible member. The interlocutors expressed hope that soon they would be able to celebrate together another ratification, which would refer to full-fledged membership of Montenegro to the European Union.
