On behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro, I would like to thank you and Members of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, on today’s ratification of the NATO Accession Protocol for Montenegro.

I am pleased to note that our countries have established sincere, firm and friendly relations, whereby both parliaments have played an important role.

            Montenegro is grateful for sincere support of the Slovak Republic to European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Montenegro.

            Further development of parliamentary cooperation and improvement of our relations at all levels will be of the great important for the benefit of our citizens.

I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate you on overtaking the EU presidency on 1 July of this year, believing that it will be exceptionally successful despite all the challenges that Europe is facing.”
