President Pajović has received Ambassador of the Republic of France H.E. Ms Véronique Brumeaux.
President of the Parliament Mr Darko Pajović thanked the Ambassador for France’s support to Montenegro’s European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Montenegro. “I believe that good political relations will be followed by constant strengthening of economic cooperation of the two countries”, says Mr Pajović.
H.E. Ms Véronique Brumeaux congratulated President Pajović on being elected the top man of Montenegrin Parliament. Furthermore, she voiced her conviction that France was expected to begin the process of ratification of the NATO Accession Protocol for Montenegro. “France supports Montenegro’s path towards NATO, and the beginning of ratification of the Protocol is just the matter of date”, pointed out the Ambassador.
It was also said at the meeting that the Parliament will implement all obligations stemming from the Agreement between the government and the opposition on fair and free elections, and they will be implemented by responsible relation of the Parliament.
The President informed the Ambassador on international activities of the Parliament, ratifications of the NATO Accession Protocol for Montenegro, dynamic of work of parliamentary working bodies, as well as the activities in the field of cooperation of the Parliament with the NGO sector and local self-governments.
