Deputy Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms took an oath before the President of the Parliament

Deputy Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms Ms Snežana Mijušković today took an oath before the President of Montenegrin Parliament MrDarko Pajović.

President of the Parliament congratulated the Deputy Ombudsman on taking the oath, and emphasised that he was convinced that the institution of the Ombudsman in the new composition would have more capacity which was in the interest of all citizens of Montenegro.

- The extent to which you will be autonomous and independent is primarily up to you, and the Parliament will be obligated to help, protect, and affirm you. I believe that the institutions of the system will have greater capacity for the citizens of Montenegro, because development of democracy is in all of our interests, said Mr Pajović.

In addition to the President of the Parliament and the newly elected Deputy Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms Ms Snežana Mijušković, the oath taking was attended by Montenegrin Ombudsman Mr Šućko Baković and Secretary General of the Parliament of MontenegroMr Siniša Stanković.
