Forming of the informal friendship group with Montenegro within the European Parliament was announced.

President of the Parliament Mr Darko Pajović spoke with Chairperson of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs Mr Elmar Brok. On the sidelines of the Interparliamentary Conference for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), taking place in Bratislava today, Mr Pajović thanked Mr Elmar Brok on continuous support of the European Parliament in Montenegro’s European integration process.

Mr Pajović announced the upcoming forming of the informal friendship group with Montenegro within the European Parliament, which will be an important additional channel for the strengthening of cooperation between the Parliament of Montenegro and the European Parliament.

Mr Pajović reminded that Montenegro was committed to continuation of achieving two key strategic goals, those being the EU and NATO membership.

- In achieving those goals, by forming the Government of Electoral Trust, we have demonstrated democratic maturity for peaceful resolution of political challenges - President Pajović informed his interlocutor.
