Under the item of the agenda “Current issues” the Committee got acquainted with the letter of Mr Goran Đurović, member of the Council of Radio Television of Montenegro, with regard to the issues that, according to him, could significantly affect the formal correctness of the submitted proposals of the NGOs in this process.
Furthermore, the Committee also considered the Request of the Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro with regard to interpretation of the implementation of Article 28 paragraph 9 of the Law on Public Broadcasting Services of Montenegro, on the occasion of appointment of the representative of the Union in the Social Council, or whether or not in the case of appointment of the representative of the Union represented in the Social Council an analogy would be applied and the advantage would be given to the Union which did not have its representative in the previous, still ongoing, term of office, in the process of appointment of the new members of the Council of Radio Television of Montenegro.
The Committee estimated that the authorised proponents for appointment of the Council of Radio Television of Montenegro were obliged to submit the proposal for the candidates in accordance with the Public Notice No 00-63-14/14-4 of 22 January 2014, and positive normative regulations. With that regard, the Committee decided to subsequently form a Working Group that would determine the validity of the documents that were being submitted as evidence in the procedure of appointment of members of the Council of Radio Television of Montenegro, as well as that after the submission of applications in accordance with the law, a list of timely and complete proposals for the candidates for members of the Council of Radio Television of Montenegro should be determined.
In accordance with the invitation by the Joint Commission for Administrative Affairs of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in the regional conference titled “Providing financial autonomy of the parliaments aimed at adequate exercise of rights and obligations of the MPs”, the Committee has decided that the following: Mr Radivoje Lala Nikčević, Chairperson of the Committee; Ms Branka Bošnjak, docent PhD, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee; and Ms Goranka Vučinić, Secretary of the Committee, should participate in the regional conference which will be held on 25 and 26 February 2014 in Sarajevo, in the building of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
