Administrative Committee holds its 61st meeting

The Committee gave approval to the Rulebook on Supplement to the Rulebook on Internal Organisation and Job Scheme of the State Election Commission

At today’s 61st meeting of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro of the 25th Convocation, the Committee gave approval to the Rulebook on Supplement to the Rulebook on Internal Organisation and Job Scheme of the State Election Commission, No 311 of 17 December 2015. The Proposal for the Supplement to the Rulebook envisages two job positions, as follows: independent advisor I, Faculty of Law; and independent advisor II, Faculty of Electrical Engineering or another faculty of natural or technical sciences, with knowledge of IT.

In accordance with Article 67 paragraph 1 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro, in capacity of proposers of the act, Mr Budimir Šaranović, President of the State Election Commission, and Mr Milisav Ćorić, Secretary of the State Election Commission, participated in the work.

Furthermore, the Administrative Committee also determined the Proposal for the decision on appointment of a member of the State Election Commission. Upon Proposal of the MP Group of Democratic Party of Socialists No 00-63-14/15-178 of 16 December 2015, the Committee decided to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro to appoint Ms Nataša Pešić as a member of the State Election Commission.

Under the item of the agenda “Current issues”, the Committee members noted that, in accordance with Article 07 paragraph 2 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption, the Commission for Prevention of Conflict of Interests shall stop working on the day the Agency for Prevention of Corruption begins its work. In that respect, the Committee decided to inform thereof the Collegium of the Parliament of Montenegro, for the purpose of noting the termination of mandate of the president and members of the Commission, concluding with 31 December 2015, in order to create conditions for the Administrative Committee to adopt adequate decisions.
