Delegation of the Anti-corruption Committee, composed of Mr Predrag Bulatović, Mr Obrad-Mišo Stanišić, Mr Koča Pavlović and Mr Mićo Orlandić, paid a visit to Estonia, where they separately had meetings with authorities that dealt with corruption and organized crime.
The delegation held a joint meeting with the Anti-Corruption Select Committee, where the President of the Parliament of Estonia, Riigikogu, Mr Eiki Nestor, greeted them. In his speech, the President of the Parliament stressed the importance of fighting corruption in order to establish the rule of law and legal state.
During the meeting with the Anti-Corruption Select Committee, the experiences of these two parliamentary bodies that they exercised in their work, position and competencies were shared, in relation to other bodies dealing with corruption and organized crime.
Apart from the Parliament of Estonia, the delegation paid a visit to the Analysis Division of the Criminal Policy Department and the Corruption Crimes Bureau of the Central Criminal Police, where they had the opportunity to be informed of the work and achievements of these bodies in the field of sanctioning corruption.
Delegation also had the meeting with members of the Committee on European Affairs of the Parliament of Estonia, where they exchanged views on current issues at the international level, with emphasis on the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
