The reports refer to competencies referred to in Article 3 item 1 and item 2a of the Law on Special Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as acting of the Prosecutor’s Office regarding conclusion of the “agreement on admission of guilt” from Article 300 of the Criminal Procedure Code and “laying off criminal prosecution” from Article 272 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Following the discussion, the Committee adopted the following conclusions:
1. The Anti-corruption Committee authorised the Chairperson of the Committee, in direct communication with the Supreme Public Prosecutor, to make available to members of the Committee all agreements on admission of guilt from 1 January to 31 July 2016 which are marked confidential.
2. The Committee considered special reports by the Supreme Public Prosecutor and the Chief Special Prosecutor. It will undertake all necessary activities in accordance with the content of these documents and discussion which was held in the Committee meeting.
3. The Committee especially encourages the Chief Special Prosecutor to exercise his competencies defined by Article 3 of the Law on Special Prosecutor’s Office.
The Committee will provide its full contribution in accordance with its competencies defined by the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament and the law.
