Head of the standing delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Mevludin Nuhodžić participated in the 85th Rose-Roth seminar on the topic “Security and democratisation in the Western Balkans: Anchoring stability and encouraging reforms”, held in Sarajevo, in the period 18-20 March 2014.
During the last day, the seminar was focused on reform of managing the defence sector and building integrity. The participants of the gathering had an opportunity, among other, to become familiar with experiences of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this field - presented by the minister of Defence Mr Zekerijah Osmić as well as standards, measures and implemented activities in the area of Southeast Europe - presented by international experts in this field.
In the continuation, a special attention was paid to relations between Serbia and Kosovo, with reference to current political situation and future activities. The following spoke on the concerned topic: European Union Special Representative for Kosovo Mr Samuel Žbogar, Head of the European Union Command Element (EUCE) at the Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Naples Lieutenant General Leonardo Di Marco, Representative of the Secretary General and Head of the United Nations Office in Belgrade Mr Peter N. Due as well as Director of the Master level Diploma External and Internal Security of the European Union at the Institut d'Études Politiques (IEP) of Strasbourg Mr Alexis Vahlas.
The gathering was organised by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in cooperation with Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
