The meeting was also attended by Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro H. E. Mr Mitja Drobnič, Head of the Political, European Integration and Trade Section of the EU Delegation Mr Alberto Cammarata, Rule of Law and EU Integration Advisor Ms Barbara Rotovnik, as well as desk officer for Montenegro at the European External Action Service Mr Herbert Pribitzer.
The topics covered in the meeting included, among other things, the implemented reform activities in light of the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, with special reference to the role of the Parliament and the Security and Defence Committee in implementing the established strategic priorities. Additionally, they pointed out the importance of informing the citizens on all aspects of the said processes and emphasised significance of regulation of legal framework for implementation of civil oversight over the work of authorities and institutions in the security and defence sector. With that regard, they presented the conducted activities of the Security and Defence Committee in that plan, with special reference to significance of implementing the Law on Parliamentary Oversight of Security and Defence Sector.
