Deputy Chairwoman of the Security and Defence Committee, Ms Snežana Jonica and the memeber of the Committee, Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić, will participate at the seminar for MPs on the subject of the "21st Century Transnational Security Challenges: Role of the Parliament", which will be held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on 30 June and 1 July 2015, organised by the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies.
Recognizing the importance of the role of parliamentary committees on defense and security with regard to the monitoring of implementation of reforms in this sector, the seminar will, among other things, cover issues of combating organized crime and corruption, the concept of the rule of law and good governance, modern security challenges and events on the international political scene, as well as the importance of the inclusion of the gender perspective in the national security system.
Aside from the representatives of the Parliament of Montenegro, members of parliaments from Georgia, Armenia, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova and Serbia will participate in the seminar.
