At the conference, the participants had an opportunity through intensive dialogue to review previous achievements in creating and preserving favourable security environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, security challenges influencing thereof and to jointly propose adequate measures for strengthening institutions responsible for the overall security of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s citizens. In addition, the Conference assessed that the regional cooperation was extremely important for improving the security ambience and economic development of all regional countries, and that it should be encouraged and strengthened, for the purpose of creating better future, with no security problems and challenges which may have a negative impact on economic and social prosperity of states.
The Fifth conference “Current state of security in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, held in Vitez, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 4 and 5 November 2015, was organised by the Joint Committee on Defence and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) , OSCE Mission to BiH, UNDP Office in Sarajevo and NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo.
