Regional parliamentary dialogue on migration management, refugee protection and combating organised crime – responses at the national level and regional cooperation was held in Belgrade, on 26-27 November.
A two-day gathering was organised by the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF).
Bearing in mind that changes regarding migration and asylum are causing problems that countries cannot fight individually, the organisers of the conference have provided for parliamentarians a platform for talking on national and regional approaches to refugee crisis, in search for cooperative approach of the best manner to fight problems, applying current processes and initiatives.
At the end of two-day work, Conclusions of the conference were adopted.
The participants of the Regional parliamentary dialogue were members of the committees responsible for defence, security and foreign affairs from nine parliaments of the South-East Europe: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Serbia.
Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro comprised of Deputy Chairperson of the Security and Defence Committee Ms Snežana Jonica and member of the Committee Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić.
