The sixth 2BS Forum has ended in Budva today.

On day two of the gathering, President of Montenegro Mr Filip Vujanović, President of the Republic of Croatia Ms Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, and President of the Republic of Slovenia Mr Borut Pahor spoke within the presidential discussion on the topic “Joint Security - Joint Responsibility”.

In continuation of the Forum, the panellists and participants shared their positions on the upcoming elections in the United States of America, and possible changes that would bring to the foreign policy course of that country. In addition to the aforementioned, a separate panel was dedicated to the issue of finding adequate course of action for dealing with the so-called Islamic State, as one of the greatest challenges and threats to security and internal stability of each country it targets.

The sixth 2BS Forum was organised by the Atlantic Council under the auspices of the Government of Montenegro, in cooperation with the NATO, the US Embassy in Podgorica, the Balkan Trust for Democracy and the Municipality of Budva.  At the gathering, special focus was placed on future integration of the Western Balkans countries into the EU and NATO. Furthermore, they discussed current global and regional security issues, with reference to developments in Ukraine, migrant crisis, as well as issues significant to allies and partners awaiting the upcoming NATO Summit in Warsaw.

Member of the Security and Defence Committee Mr Luiđ Ljubo Škrelja took part in the gathering, which lasted from 5 to 7 May of this year.
