Members of the Committee considered the Report on participation of members of the Army of Montenegro in international forces and Proposal for a Decision on sending members of the Army of Montenegro to the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara - MINURSO.
At today’s 51st meeting of the Security and Defence Committee, closed to the public, and attended by the Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff, the Committee discussed the participation of members of the Army of Montenegro in international forces, peace-keeping missions, and other activities abroad in 2015, as one of the key tasks of the Ministry of Defence and Army in the past year, and with regard to that - implementation of the overall preparation of the members and safe engagement of individuals and units of the Army of Montenegro. Following the discussion, the Committee unanimously decided to accept the said report and adopted conclusions available in the section Meetings of working bodies - Security and Defence Committee.
Additionally, the Committee unanimously proposed to the Parliament to support the Proposal for a Decision on sending members of the Army of Montenegro to the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara - MINURSO.
