At their 25th meeting held today, the Committee considered the Annual Report on Awarded State Aid in Montenegro in 2012, amounting to €41.8 million, i.e. 1.26% of GDP, and which also contained the data and information by the categories of state aid, instruments of awarding, and analysis of effects of the awarded state aid. The Annual Report did not receive the necessary majority, among other things, because of the manner of awarding and the control of spending the said funds.
In accordance with the Article 18 of the Law on Investment and Development Fund of Montenegro, the Committee also got acquainted with the Independent Auditor’s Report on Auditing of Financial Statements of the Investment and Development Fund of Montenegro for 2012. The Committee concluded that the Report provided numerous information and data on activities of the Fund, which, among other things, referred to the aid to the micro, small and medium enterprises, infrastructure projects, etc. Additionally, the Committee requested additional information with a view of a more comprehensive overview of the Fund’s business operations, and requested additional information on certain issues.
