40th meeting of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget held

Proposals for financial plans with work plans of the independent regulatory bodies for 2014 considered and Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Games of Chance supported

At today’s meeting, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget decided to propose to the Parliament to adopt the proposals for financial plans with work plans of the independent regulatory bodies for 2014, for the following: Securities Commission, Insurance Supervision Agency, Regulatory Energy Agency, Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services and Agency for Electronic Media.

Additionally, the possibility for submitting amendments to proposed financial plans was highlighted.

In line with Article 71 of the Law on the Central Bank of Montenegro, the Committee got acquainted with 2014 Financial Plan of the Central Bank of Montenegro.

The Committee also decided to propose to the Parliament to adopt the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Games of Chance, submitted by MP Branko Radulović with two amendments of the proponent.

Regarding six amendments to the Proposal for the Law on Interest Write-offs on Tax and Customs Duties, submitted by MPs Srđan Milić, Velizar Kaluđerović and Aleksandar Damjanović, the Committee, with the consent of the representatives of the proponent, supported amendments 1, 3, 4 and 6, out of which 3, 4 and 6 in amended form, hence those have become an integral part of the Propose for the Law. Amendments 2 and 5 were not supported by the Committee.

The Committee also considered five amendments to the Law on Supplement to the Law on Corporate Profit Tax, submitted by MPs Zoran Jelić, Zoran Vukčević, Rešid Adrović, Filip Vukovićm, Zorica Kovačević and Marta Šćepanović. The Committee stated, with the consent of the proponent, that concerned amendments have become an integral part of the Proposal for the Law.

The Committee discussed two amendments to the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Tax on Insurance Premiums, submitted by MP Aleksandar Damjanović. Bearing in mind that the proponent of the amendment was at the same time the proponent of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Tax on Insurance Premiums, the Committee stated that the concerned amendment has become an integral part of the Proposal for the Law text.

In the context of current issues, the agreement was reached – the 41st meeting of the Committee instead on 19 December to be held on 18 December 2013, in the Blue Room of the Parliament of Montenegro, starting at 12:00.
