At their second continuation of the 52nd meeting, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget formulated the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on State Audit Institution and forwarded it into the parliamentary procedure.
The Committee considered the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government Financing, submitted by the MPs Halil Duković, Nikola Gegaj, Tarzan Milošević, Žana Filipović, Zoran Jelić and Almer Kalač, and decided to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro not to adopt it.
The Committee also considered the Proposal for the Law on Protection of Public Interests in Electric Power Sector of Montenegro, submitted by the MP Srđan Milić, and decided to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro not to adopt it.
Following the ending of 52nd meeting, the 54th meeting of the Committee was held, where the information on exercising parliamentary oversight over the Law on Financing of Political Parties was considered, in accordance with Article 32a of the Law on Financing of Political Parties. With regard to that item of the agenda, the meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance, upon invitation. During the discussion, among other things, it was concluded that the Law on Financing of Political Parties did not have a retroactive effect and that it did not limit the acquired rights, as well as that it was necessary to carry out payments in accordance with the Law.
The Committee also decided to propose to the Parliament to adopt the Proposal for the Decision on adopting the Annex no. 1 of the Contract on renting the hotel “Kraljičina plaža” – Budva and the Proposal for the Decision on adopting the Annex no. 1 of the Contract on renting the hotels “Sveti Stefan” and Miločer in Budva.
