At its 93rd meeting which has started today, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget considered and unanimously decided to accept 2014 Performance Report outlining numerous activities implemented within the legislative, oversight and representative function of the Committee, as well as its cooperation with relevant institutions. It was noted that, in the reporting period, the Committee held 46 meetings and considered 165 items of the agenda, as well as continuously followed implementation of 39 parliamentary conclusions.
The Committee also considered and unanimously determined 2015 Work Plan of the Committee prescribing consideration of 41 legislative acts, not including possible proposals for the legislative acts by the MPs. The thematic part of the Work Plan includes consideration of 34 items relating to annual performance reports, financial plans and reports by institutions, authorities, and independent regulatory bodies which, in accordance with the law and other legislation, are to be submitted to the Committee. Additionally, the Committee also plans continuous following of implementation of adopted parliamentary conclusions.
Following the consideration, the Committee decided to propose to the Parliament to adopt the Proposal for the Patent Law.
The Committee completed the first round of consideration of the Proposal for the Law on Supplement to the Law on Expropriation. It was agreed that, in the presence of the representatives of all MP Groups, as well as the Minister of Finance as representative of the proposer, the Committee should state its opinion on the proposal for the law in continuation of the meeting.
