The previous cooperation was assessed as successful and it was pointed out that it should be furtherly improvement with the aim of strengthening the oversight role of the Committee over the spending of public funds in the context of the legal obligations that the SAI had and competences of the Committee defined by the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament.
It was jointly stated that, for the purpose of strengthening mutual cooperation and achieving more efficient oversight over the public finances, it was necessary to formalise the cooperation of the Committee and the SAI, and that in this respect, with the participation of the Institute Alternative, a corresponding document would be drafted in the future.
