At the 102nd meeting that opened today, pursuant to the Article 39 of the Law on Central Bank of Montenegro, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget considered and decided to propose to the Parliament adoption of the 2014 Annual Performance Report of the Central Bank of Montenegro. During the discussion, the Committee took into consideration the supporting documents, which according to the Law were submitted for the purpose of information, namely: 2014 Price Stability Report, 2014 Financial System Stability Report and the 2014 Annual Financial Report of the Central Bank of Montenegro together with the opinion of the independent external auditor. In addition, the Committee got informed about the 2014 Annual Performance Report of the Banking Ombudsman of Montenegro.
During the discussion, the Committee focused on the macroeconomic environment and the state of play of the Montenegrin economy in the reporting period, the realization of the policy of the Central Bank in 2014, macroeconomic forecasting and the policy of the Central Bank in 2015. It was noted, among other things, that interest rates in 2014, although showing slight decrease compared to the previous year, were still at a high level, and that the decrease in level of non-performing loans was noted.
Proposal for the Law on Supplements to the Bankruptcy Law, submitted by MPs: Mr Milutin Đukanović, Ms Branka Bošnjak, Mr Vladislav Bojović and Mr Janko Vučinić did not obtain majority required at the Committee.
Also, the Committee considered two amendments to the Proposal for the Patent Law, submitted by MPs: Ms Draginja Vuksanović and Mr Džavid Šabović. Proposed amendments did not obtain majority required at the Committee.
It was agreed at the meeting of the Committee that submitted amendments to the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on State Surveying and Cadastre of Immovable Property be considered at the next meeting, which will be subsequently scheduled.
