Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget holds its 106th meeting

Two proposals for laws supported 

At its 106th meeting held today, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget considered and decided to propose to the Parliament to adopt Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Safety of Maritime Navigation and Proposal for the Law on Personal Bankruptcy of Consumers, submitted by MP Mr Andrija Popović.

The Committee also considered two amendments to the Proposal for the Law on the Protection of Consumers-Users of Financial Services, submitted by MP Ms Jelisava Kalezić. The representative of proposers accepted the said amendments, thus making them an integral part of the Proposal for the Law.

The Committee familiarised itself with 2014 Annual Performance Report of the Deposit Protection Fund, as well as with the activities of the Fund during 2014, which were mostly related to obligations from the daily operations and obligations regarding harmonisation of the principle of deposit insurance with the European principles.

Consideration of four amendments to the Proposal for the Law on Supplement to the Law on Expropriation, submitted by MP Mr Dritan Abazović, was postponed due to the absence of representative of proposer of the amendments. Furthermore, consideration of amendment to the Proposal for the Law on Supplement to the Bankruptcy Law, submitted by MPs Mr Mladen Bojanić and Mr Aleksandar Damjanović, was postponed due to the absence of representative of proposer of the Law.

Under the item of the agenda current issues, the Committee members were informed, among other things, that in accordance with agreement from the 98th meeting of the Committee, when the Committee considered the Proposal for the Decision on granting a long-term lease of Island Lastavica with fortress Mamula, Municipality Herceg Novi, a research paper by the Parliamentary Institute of the Parliament of Montenegro was submitted, on the topic: “Comparative experiences in valorisation of military objects or cultural monuments for tourism purposes”.
