Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget holds its 120nd meeting

The Committee has considered the following: Proposal for the Law on settling obligations towards the workers of the Bauxite Mine JSC Nikšić in terms of its influence on the state budget, the 2014 Financial Report together with the Performance Report of the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services and the level of implementation of the conclusions by the Parliament of Montenegro with regard to the Saltworks "Bajo Sekulić” JSC Ulcinj. 

At today’s 120th meeting - in accordance with Article 137 paragraph 3 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament - the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget, has considered the Proposal for the Law on settling obligations towards the workers of the Bauxite Mine JSC Nikšić, submitted by MPs Mr Aleksandar Damjanović and Mr Mladen Bojanić in terms of influence of proposed solutions on the state budget. The Committee stated that the Proposal for the Law did not make fiscal influence on the state budget in 2015, but that it would be necessary to provide funds in the 2016 budget for its application in the amount of 1,196,150.00 euros, following the statutory procedure. The said opinion will be submitted to the lead committee i.e. the Committee on Heath, Labour and Social Welfare.

The Committee supported the 2014 Financial Report together with the Performance Report of the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, stating that it was necessary as soon as possible to resolve the problem of financing the universal postal service.

Within the third item of the agenda, the Committee continued to monitor the implementation of the conclusions by the Parliament of Montenegro adopted with regard to control hearing on collecting information on the bankruptcy procedure in Saltworks "Bajo Sekulić” JSC Ulcinj. The Committee heard about initiated activities, undertaken by the PI National Parks, following the conclusion on agreement on the lease of the overall assets of the entrepreneur company “Bajo Sekulić” in bankruptcy for one-year period. The initiated activities of the PI National Parks are related, primary, to pumping stations, making the study of economic feasibility of the salt production, valorisation of the natural resources, monitoring of plant and animal processes and other. The Committee will continue to monitor the implementation of the said parliamentary conclusions.
