At today’s 123rd meeting, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget discussed the Central Bank Report on monitoring the implementation of the Law on Conversion of Loans in Swiss Francs CHF into Euros EUR, which comprised the application of the Law on Consumer Loans in the part relating to obligations of Hypo Alpe Adria bank to provide information to its clients during the pre-agreement phase.
During the discussion, participants referred to the problems in the application of the Law, because it did not cover claims on the basis of loans ceded to third parties as well as claims closed before the said law came into force, and they stated that it was necessary to find a manner for overcoming the said problems as soon as possible.
The Committee also considered amendment to the Proposal for the Law on Customs Service, submitted by MP Mr Goran Tuponja. After a brief discussion, MP Mr Tuponja withdrew amendment 1. Representative of the proposer accepted amendments 2 and 3, thus they have become an integral part of the Proposal for the Law.
In addition, the Committee considered and decided to propose to the Parliament to adopt proposals for financial plans together with work plans of six independent regulatory bodies, namely: Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services; Securities Commission; Energy Regulatory Agency; Insurance Supervision Agency; Agency for Electronic Media and Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices.
