During the meeting with members of the Committee on Finance, Delegation of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget had an opportunity to be informed on the manner of work of the Committee on Finance of the Swedish Parliament with regard to consideration of the state budget and implementation of the control over the spending of public funds, as well as cooperation with national audit institution and providing expert help while performing budgetary control and analysing relevant reports.

During the meeting with members of the Committee on Taxation, the participants exchanged experiences regarding taxation systems, tax payment, undertaking measures for decreasing the tax debt, solutions allowing taxation bodies to adequately carry out control and collect taxes. Additionally, they talked about the public debt and deficit of the budget and necessity of their movement within Maastricht criteria.

The experiences in the work of the said committees were assessed as useful and applicable in the future work of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget, given the great influence that relevant committees of the Swedish Parliament had on the budgetary process and public finances.

During the visit, members of the Committee had an opportunity to be informed on the manner of work of the Swedish Parliament.
