At its 127th meeting held today, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget considered and proposed to the Parliament to adopt the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Takeover of Joint Stock Companies. The said proposal for the law envisages harmonisation of procedures of taking over of joint stock companies with the EU acquis and European standards in this area, as well improvement of regulation in fields regulated by provisions of the current law, especially in part relating to the procedure of determining the price of public takeover bid, the procedure of enforcement of compulsory acquisition of shares held by minority shareholders, rights and obligations of acquirer in the procedure of public bid for acquisition.
The Committee supported the initiative for holding of the control hearing of: Mr Branimir Gvozdenović, Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism, and Mr Zoran Mrdak, Director of the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro, regarding the negative opinion of the State Audit Institution on the financial audit and audit of regularities of the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro, submitted by MP Mr Aleksandar Damjanović. The date of holding of the control hearing will be determined subsequently.
