During the second continuation of the Sixth Meeting of the Committee on European Integration held today, the Secretary of the Negotiation Group Mr Milivoje Jurišić presented procedures for adopting negotiation documents, both on national and European Union level. Pointing out to the complexity of the process, Mr Jurišić referred to organization-technical structure and stages of the negotiation process, emphasising on that occasion the importance of flexibility of all participants. He emphasised that negotiation documents, prior to adoption, were passing through five instances at the national level, including the Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of Montenegro.
Within the third item of the agenda, Head of the Working Group for Chapter 24 - Justice, Freedom and Security Mr Dragan Pejanović presented the Action Plan to Committee members, pointing out that all suggestions of the European Commission and EUROPOL were fulfilled in the manner that all their recommendations were elaborated through definition of activities for which time deadlines for fulfilling objectives were determined. In line with European Commission recommendation, the significance of indicators of influence and results was recognised, relating both to adoption of laws and reporting on implementation of those.
Considering mentioned items of the agenda and stating that the Proposal for Resolution on Manner, Quality and Dynamics of the Integration Process of Montenegro to the European Union would be considered during the fall session of the Parliament of Montenegro, the sixth meeting of the Committee on European Integration ended.
