At its 29th meeting held today, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, as the umbrella committee, considered the Proposal for the Law on Selection, Use and Public Display of National Symbols and the Proposal for the Law on Electronic Government.
Some Committee members announced amendment actions regarding Article 7 of the Proposal for the Law defining cases in which the use of national symbols is prohibited.
Following the discussion, the Committee supported the Proposal for the Law on Selection, Use and Public Display of National Symbols by a majority of votes, and proposed its adoption to the Parliament.

Under the item of the agenda Current issues, the Committee appointed the MP Snežana Jonica as the representative who would participate in work of the Working group for Drafting the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities.
They decided that the Committee representatives at the meetings with the members of expert missions for the field of human rights and the institution of protector of human rights, which will be staying in Montenegro from 7 to 11 April 2014, should be Mr Halil Duković, Chairperson of the Committee and Ms Ljiljana Đurašković, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee.
