Halil Duković, Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms of the Parliament of Montenegro and Ms Ljiljana Đurašković, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee, will meet with the experts of the European Commission for the field of human rights and for institution of protector of human rights and freedoms.
Within the mission, the meeting with the expert for institution of protector of human rights and freedoms has been planned for 9 April 2014, from 13:40 to 16:10, while the meeting with the expert for the field of human rights has been scheduled for 10 April 2014, from 13:50 to 15:15, both in the Red Room of the Parliament of Montenegro.
Expert mission of the European Commission for the field of human rights and for institution of protector of human rights and freedoms consists of Mr Klavs Duus Kinnerup Hede, Legal Advisor to the Danish Ombudsman and Ms Susette Pia Schuster, Legal Advisor at the European Court for Human Rights.
The goal of the expert mission, which has been organised as one of a series of expert missions for assessing the state of human rights, is the analysis of the situation in Montenegro and collection of relevant data required for drafting the European Commission’s Progress Report on Montenegro, which will be published in October.
In addition to the Parliament of Montenegro, the European Commission experts will also meet the representatives of judiciary and administration bodies.
