Chairperson of the Committee Mr Halil Duković emphasises that children with developmental difficulties represent the most vulnerable group and that theCommittee on Human Rights and Freedoms has been continuously devoting attention to improvement of their position in the society, voicing readiness of the Committee to deal with these issues in the period to come.
Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms Ms Ljiljana Đurašković says that all MPs should fight for improving the position of children with developmental difficulties in the society, promising that she will, as much as possible, strive to contribute to adoption of high-quality legislative regulations which would define rights of children with developmental difficulties.
Participants of the meeting agree that children with developmental difficulties represent the most vulnerable category of society, hence a special attention should be devoted to them and society should make constant efforts to improve their position. The Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms will, in the following period, in accordance with its possibilities and competences established by the Rules of Procedure, through cooperation with the Federation “Our Initiative” and line ministries, endeavour to contribute to improving the position of children with developmental difficulties.
