A decision was adopted that the Conference "Fundamental rights, non-discrimination and protection of minority groups, including the LGBT population", which will be held on 20 and 21 November 2014 in Tirana, will be attended by MP Husnija Šabović on behalf of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms. As it was previously decided by the Gender Equality Committee, the same conference will be attended by MP Nikola Gegaj.
Committee members decided that the Interparliamentary Conference "Civil representation and political participation of national and ethnic minorities", which will be held on 20 and 21 November 2014 in Belgrade, will be attended by MPs doc. Dr. Srđa Popović and prim. Dr. Izet Bralić on behalf of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms.
On the occasion of implementation of 2014 Activities Plan of the Committee, where determined activities of the Committee were - Public debates in Orphanage "Mladost" in Bijela, on the topic "The Rights of the Child - foster care", members of the Committee accepted the proposal of the Chief Representative of UNICEF in Montenegro to hold no public debate in the Children's Home "Mladost", in order to protect the rights of children in this Institution.
It was decided that the public debate should be organized in Podgorica, on 21 January 2015, in the premises of the Parliament of Montenegro, at 13.
MP Kemal Zoronjić suggested that members of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms should visit the Orphanage "Mladost" – Bijela. At the meeting of the Committee, it was decided to visit first the Special Psychiatric Hospital -Dobrota, Kotor, according to the conclusion from the 37th meeting.
